Google maps/Street view hasn't been by my house yet so here it is. I took it from my neighbor's porch.
That's Odie in the foreground doing his thing. I have since removed the futon and rug from the front porch and sanded/stained the hard wood flooring that make up the porch floor. I love it. Been here almost 5 years.

Thanks! I really like it.
This is the after of the front porch. I'm proud of my work so you get to be annoyed by it! :)

Thank you!!! I took the glued down outdoor rug (why do people do that?) off, scraped glue for a few days and sanded the entire space. Then, I used a basic Thompson's water seal with a red tinge to it. I think it came out OK. It's a huge step above what it was.

In the house we are about to move into, it has that outdoor turf/carpet crap on the front stoop and walkway to the driveway. Once we get moved in, it will be the first project. Just not sure what to do with the concrete under it. May just seal it and be done with it.

Seal it. Be done with it. I recently busted the shit out of 3 fingers (and used many expletives) breaking up a 10x12 concrete patio. It was 5.5-6 inches thick all around and with two people, took over 6 hours. It was heavy as shit. Just seal it. Trust me.
